I’ve came to a conclusion that I’m too focused on money. My love for money has blinded me. You can end up doing what you hate just to get what you love. That is why it is important to be cautious on what you love. Money and I will always be friends because I like money a lot but I can’t love money any more.
Also, I feel I have been mashing hustle and money into one thing. Money is one of the result of hustle. It is a common thing among great hustlers that they don’t do it for the money. Kobe Bryant had a bit in his book, The Mamba Mentality, that said he was able to be one of the best Basketball players because he wasn’t doing it for a check like his colleagues. It is a big difference of people at my job who work to be the best employee, and people like me who their to collect a weekly check. I got to put my money needs and wants to the side so I can focus on being the best in my field. Which means no to being second, third, top 5 or top 10. I want to be number one.
On the other hand, if I am good at something pay me for it. I put value on myself and the work that I do. That is why I aiming to get better, so I can get better pay.
